Listening organization...

Friends,

Few months ago, we were doing a consulting work for a large 
client helping them understand the Employee Engagement 
strategy and action plan.

As part of creating a Listening organization we experienced 
different communication expressions.  We did sensing interviews 
to discover the following:

   Why Employees Hesitate to Share
 
Why Employees don’t Care any more
 
Why Employees are so inward looking

Why Employees are cut off 

The results were

We are NOT Listening or Listening Enough
We are Sharing
We are hearing

But

Listening Organization

     • Offers platform to discuss, share and dissent
     • Moves from Inward to External 
• Considers all capable of contribution
• Doesn’t React but Pro acts

At Individual levels we established a process to allow diversity of
thoughts and allow dissidence.
At team levels we established skip level meetings.
At organization levels we established listening leaders- listen to
future, listen beyond org.

We created Internal Communication Champs and co-created their
roles as to Integrator, Energizer, Enhancer, Change Catalyst, Pride
and Live wire feeder.

The client was happy with the Listening frame work and critical
touch points and transform it into experiences.
